"Revenge" Season 4, Episode 11 airs Jan. 4 on ABC. Titled "Epitaph," the mid-season premiere is expected to pick up where things left off in Episode 10. Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) mourns another loss, this time to save Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp). Meanwhile, Joshua Bowman talks about his "fitting" exit.

Daniel Grayson (Josh Bowman) dies in Revenge Season 4, Episode 10. But in a recent interview with TV Line, the actor said viewers would see a bit more of Daniel in Episode 11 ("Epitaph").

Revenge Season 4, Episode 11 will feature flashback sequences, a part of which was the last thing that Bowman filmed before his official exit. He said it was "very strange to do."

Josh Bowman has spoken to various TV news outlets with regards to the death of Daniel Grayson. In those interviews, Bowman said Daniel's death should enable writers to move the Revenge Season 4 story forward. The actor also briefly mentioned a Revenge Season 5 possibility.

Daniel's death can move the Revenge Season 4 story arcs to a series conclusion "by the end of this season," Bowman said. He added: "(B)ut who knows? They probably want to do another season, but I have no idea."

"By having [Daniel Grayson] save Emily and sacrifice himself, it was the perfect, fitting end for the character," Bowman told Entertainment Weekly, adding, "[Daniel] never loved anyone as much as he loved [Emily]. That was his true love and it was so fitting for him to die in her arms."

"Revenge" Season 4, Episode 11: David Clarke vs Victoria Grayson vs Emily Thorne

In a promo clip for Revenge Season 4, Episode 11, Victoria is seen rushing to her son's lifeless body, hinting that the next new episode of the series is picking up from where characters left off in Episode 10. The same clip reveals David Clarke has not changed his mind about killing Victoria.

Victoria and Daniel would have died on the same night in Revenge Season 4 if Victoria had downed the fatally toxic wine that David prepared for her. As fate would have it, she delayed drinking until she has confessed (some of) her sins to David. The confessions do not include her sending a note to Malcolm Black.

For those who are catching up, viewers learn in Revenge Season 4 that David Clarke has been pulling a long con on Victoria. He does intend to kill her. The "resurrected" father reveals his plan to his daughter Emily in the Episode 11 promo clip.

Victoria loses both her fiancé and her son in less than one year. This time it is heavier in the sense that she has played a significant part in the death of her son Daniel. A confrontation is expected between the former Mrs Grayson and Emily Thorne.

Revenge Season 4, Episode 11 airs Jan. 4 on ABC.
