The "Fast & the Furious" followers want a street named after late Paul Walker as a tribute to him in the Southern California city of Santa Clarita. They have started signing an online petition entitled "Let's Rename Hercules Avenue, in Memory of Paul Walker and Roger Rodas" on www.gopetition.com to get Santa Clarita's Hercules Avenue renamed as the "Walker Rodas Memorial Parkway" after Walker and his friend Roger Rodas, died on this spot in a car crash last November 30, 2013.

The online petition with myriads of signatures reads: "Wouldn't it be great if we petitioned the Californian Government and local Santa Clarita Council to get Hercules Avenue renamed to Walker/ Rodas Memorial Way ... With an international outpouring of love and support - this might be a nice way for people to continue remembering two amazing men, who died so tragically."

"And if we can't get this, then I support a memorial cross or plaque being placed at the crash site, where both Paul Walker and Roger Rodas were tragically killed," continue the post.

On December 8, 2013, Trent has published this Petition on the site and since then it has received more than 2236 Signatures and 3,656 people have recommended it. Reportedly, majority of citizens of Santa Clarita claimed that Walker's contribution to the community is negligible so they are not in favour of renaming the avenue after Walker and Rodas' name. The city councilman Tim Ben Boydston told TMZ that the street's renaming could not be done without the support of the community, hence the task of paying tribute to late Philanthropist friends by re-naming the avenue after their name seems to be difficult but not impossible. The petition has received mixed response on social media. We have compiled here a list of some of the opinions (negative as well as positive) people have about the petition:

Egenolf Bianca wrote blasting the late friends Walker and Rodas: "Rodas way? Never. It is yes blame the Paul Walker is dead, he was driving too fast, since, and not a street should be named after him!"

Anna Libar commented with consent: "I signed! Paul Walker this is for u."

Shelley Honke questioned: "I wonder how many more signatures there would be from Santa Clarita residents, if each and every one of them, who visited the crash site; would sign?"

Christina Taranto commented with great enthusiasm: "Tell the residents of Santa Clarita that are against this to go shove it because of ROWW a lot of local kids got presents this Christmas...in his absence Paul is still doing good more than I can say for them."

Tiffany Mazzacano wrote suggesting that they should knock at every door to get the petition signed: "Let's go door to door."
