A fit and slim body like Maria Menounos's is every girls dream. Several diets and workout tips have been doing the rounds and women opt for what they think is the best. Menounos on the other hand has her own fitness secrets; she follows a low-carb vegetarian diet and does a daily workout.

Menounos is a producer, actor, author and TV show host. She revealed her diet and fitness regimen to the Shape magazine. Her mantra is simple and easy to practice, "Always be moving," she said. Explaining the ways, by which she keeps her body active she said that she carries her own bags, takes the stairs instead of the lift and makes it a point to walk at times where a car was not required. For her, every second could be made use of to keep herself fit. An active lifestyle is the secret behind her body.

She also makes her workout fun and rejuvenating; when she's busy she incorporates a few exercises in her day to day activities like doing the squats and lunges while brushing her teeth.

She has also turned into a vegetarian, initially she used to follow a Mediterranean diet and she lost 40 pounds due to it. Her new vegetarian diet she states, not only aids in weight loss but also helps her stay healthy. She stated that she felt happier and more energetic after she began following the diet.

Her physical workout comprises of jump ropes, playing basketball, practicing Pilates, Krav Maga martial-arts workouts, running on the treadmill and walking five miles day. At the end of the day she hits the gym as well.

Drawing her inspiration from Jillian Michaels and "The Rock" Joshnson she said, These people remind me that they're just as busy and they're figuring it out."

Menounos is 36 and states that she now is ready to have children, she has been dating producer Keven Undergaro since 1998. "I see health as a journey, not a destination," she explains. "My goal is always move toward being better."
