Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola has reportedly offered the midfielder to Liverpool FC in the 2021 summer market.

Pogba, who is contracted with Manchester United until 2022, has become one of Liverpool's targets this summer, reported French media outlet Le10 Sport. With just one year left in his current Manchester United deal, Pogba will be free to negotiate with other clubs in January.

However, Liverpool reportedly have informed Raiola that signing Pogba right now is out of question but they will be interested in January when the player could be signed on a free transfer.

Following Gini Wijnaldum's departure from Liverpool as a free agent this summer, the Reds are on the lookout for an ideal replacement. It is understood that Liverpool are eyeing Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga and Houssem Aouar of Lyon and Pogba is the latest entrant to their target list.

Considering the rivalry between the clubs, Pogba's direct transfer from Manchester United to Liverpool looks highly unlikely. Only nine players in history have so far transferred directly from one club to another, with the last being back in 1964 when Phil Chisnall moved from Old Trafford to Anfield for $35,000.

While Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are also heavily linked with Pogba, the Ligue 1 giants are also thinking if they should wait until the end of the season to sign him on a free transfer, according to The Athletic.

It was previously reported that Pogba had turned down a contract extension from Manchester United as the 2018 World Cup winner is looking out for a new challenge ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

Pogba, who rose through the ranks of Manchester United's youth set up, made his senior debut with the Red Devils during the 2011-12 season. Following that, he made a move to Serie A club Juventus, where he became a star, helping the Turin side to win four consecutive league titles. He netted a tally of 34 goals across four seasons before making a sensational return to Old Trafford.

Manchester United re-signed Pogba in the summer of 2016 on a five-year contract for a then-record transfer fee at $125 million plus bonuses of $7 million, surpassing the former record holder Gareth Bale.
