Katy Perry was the biggest winner during the recent People's Choice Awards, despite the fact that she pulled out of attending it. Still, the singer was able to win the most awards followed by the film 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.'

The singer was able to take home a total of five awards which include Music Video, TV Guest Appearance, Song of the Year for ET, Tour Headliner and also Favourite Female Artist. Some of the other highlights of the night include the recognition of Lea Michelle's character as Rachel Berry on 'Glee' which made her win the Favourite TV Comedy Actress award.

Performances were delivered by Demi Lovato and Faith Hil,l with Lovato winning the title for Favourite Pop Artist. Lovato dedicated her award to all her fans who support her all the way.

Other well-known artists who won awards but were never there include Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift and a lot more.

Lady Gaga was not around to receive her award for Favourite Album of the Year for her 'Born This Way' record. Johnny Depp was also nowhere to be seen but won Favourite Animated Movie Voice in 'Rango.' Depp also grabbed Favourite Movie Actor award.

Ryan Reynolds was not around as well, but got the Favourite Movie Superhero for his 'Green Lantern' role. Also, Rihanna was not within LA to be able to get her Favourite R&B artist award. Eminem and Bruno Mars were also not seen but both won Favourite Hip Hop Artist and Favourite Male Artist.

Taylor Swift got the honours for Favourite Country Artist but was not there to accept it in person. Jimmy Fallon came up instead with a creative idea for his presence to still be felt by pre-recording his speech as he won the Favourite Late Night TV host for the show 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.'
