After a long wait, Kate Middleton has finally made her first official public appearance. The Duchess of Cambridge finally committed to her first royal engagement since her second pregnancy was announced on September 8.

Kate Middleton was scheduled to meet with Singapore's President Tony Tan Keng Yam on Tuesday, October 21. There were previous speculations on whether she would be able to attend or not. The International Business Times previously reported that the Duchess was still supposedly very sick to commit to the meeting. A palace spokesperson was believed to have confirmed her health condition is still of utmost importance. "As with all recent engagements her attendance will be reviewed closer to the time, depending on her health," the spokesperson said.

Apparently, the Duchess of Cambridge was well enough to finally step out in public again after pulling out of a couple of engagements since the start of the month. Kate Middleton was seen all smiles as she greeted Singapore's President and even chatted with his wife, Mary, at the Royal Garden Hotel. Mirror UK has all the details and photos showing the 32-year-old still looking slim. Her royal baby bump is still not obvious underneath the grey-coloured Alexander McQueen dress she wore.

Kate Middleton couldn't have been happier to be out in public again. According to Mirror UK's report, she told President Tony Tan that she's "been looking forward to getting out of the house." She also voiced her eagerness to go back to joining royal engagements while having tea with Singapore's First Lady. Mary reportedly expressed how glad she was to see Kate at the event, to which the Duchess of Cambridge replied, "So am I. I've been looking forward to getting out of the house, that's for sure."

However, the Duchess reportedly passed on a private lunch prepared for the President and his wife at the Buckingham Palace. Prince William joined the other royals and Kate Middleton only met with Tony Tan and Mary in the morning.

This would be Kate Middleton's first public appearance since she was last seen at the London Tower's poppy installation on August 5. Despite being on her second pregnancy and having suffered Hyperemesis Gravidarum, the Duchess of Cambridge looked regal as always. According to Mirror's fashion and beauty director Amber Graafland, she looked like she has finally overcome her pregnancy sickness and is "back to fashion form."
