When it comes to preparing for a role, no one does it better than Jamie Dornan. The 33-year-old actor is playing the role of a sadist lover Christian Grey in the upcoming moving "Fifty Shades of Grey." The actor told a fashion magazine that he visited sex-dungeons to prepare for the role of a guy who enjoys bondage sex. The actor said he took a "long shower" after his visit when he reached home to his wife and baby. His act of "getting cleansed" after seeing the sexual acts has not been taken in a positive way by some of the fans of the book who feel Jamie does not understand what bondage sex means.

"I went there, they offered me a beer, and they did...whatever they were into. I saw a dominant with one of his two submissives. It was an interesting evening," he told Elle magazine about the experience. The actor however was quite skeptical of his entire experience and said he had a long shower before he touched his wife and kids. It is not the first time than Jamie is playing such a role where he needs to show his negative side. The actor has worked in a British drama "The Fall" where he played a sadistic serial killer.

The movie "Fifty Shades of Grey" is based on the best selling book of the same name by author E.L. James. Jamie plays the protagonist named Christian Grey who has a shady past that consists of adoptive parents, a mother who was a whore and a much elder lover who wanted to dominate her in sexual acts. He not only looks good but is also a multimillionaire who has a luxury house and his own private jet. He falls in love with a virgin and vulnerable girl Anastasia Steele (played by Dakota Johnson) and his life changes. The movie tells the story of their unusual love where Christian tries to seduce Anastasia and gets her involved in his life. This is where the controversial bondage sex part comes.

Jamie was criticised for his comments on various websites. After the actor shared his views about bondage sex, the fans of the book feel that he is not the right person to do the role as he does not understand "what BDSM is." "Seriously, this man has no right to be anywhere near a BDSM film, no matter how poorly written it is. Even if he didn't like it, it's in extremely poor taste for him to deride the subject of his film, which he is profiting off of," writes CallistaR on themarysue.com.

Brainmist, another fan of the book on the same website believes that Jamie does not seem to have a "good understanding" of the E.L James' book as his "interpretation of sex is both comical and boring."
