The 4-inch iPhone 6C is currently one of the most awaited Apple products. It is speculated that Apple will begin mass production of the smartphone by start of 2016 to make it available for purchase by April 2016.

Even though the current iPhones have grown in size, various surveys have indicated that consumers still prefer to use 4-inch iPhones. Hence, the Cupertino giant is said to be working on a compact-sized smartphone called Apple iPhone 6C.

According to Gadgetz Arena, a well-known Chinese blog, MyDrivers have claimed that the sources from Foxconn, the manufacturing partner of Apple, have said that the iPhone 6C will be coming with a 4-inch screen and will be sporting a 2.5D curved glass. The display will support a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels.

Under the hood of the iPhone 6C will be the Apple A9 chipset and 2GB of RAM. The Apple iPhone 6S and 6S Plus smartphones also feature the same SoC and the same capacity of RAM. Hence, the iPhone 6C will be able to deliver a top-notch performance.

The base model of the Apple iPhone 6C will carry 16GB of storage. Its rear shooter will be of 8MP. Under the Home button, it will be housing a Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

The iPhone 6C will be sporting a full-metallic design and it will be equipped with a battery of 1,642 mAh capacity. Users will be able to purchase the iPhone 6C in three colours: space gray, gold and silver, Apple Insider reported.

As of this writing, Apple has not revealed any information on the purported iPhone 6C. However, it was revealed recently that Apple will be launching the smartphone through a launch event in March 2016. This event might also be used to announce the Apple Watch 2 and iPad Air 3. After launching the iPhone 6C in the coming March, it will be available for purchase by April 2016.
