Tech giant Apple on Tuesday released its latest versions of the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch at its "California Streaming" virtual event.

The event showcased many new features. There is new storage capacity of 1TB, camera updates like ProMotion and optical zoom, and the usual advancement in battery life.

CEO Tim Cook led the event and introduced the new iPad and iPad Mini, Apple Watch Series 7, along with the iPhone 13, Mini and Pro Max.

The 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max both feature an A15 Bionic chip, which the company described as the "fastest CPU in any smartphone."

The new iPads will go on sale after the event, and the new iPhones go on sale on Friday, Sept. 17. Apple watches, which are slimmer with a wider screen, will be available later in the fall.

In 2020, Apple upgraded its iPhones to 5G during the announcement of the iPhone 12, which prompted many to assume that this event would have fewer big changes.

Many took to Twitter to express their thoughts about the annual event. The new upgrades are mostly internal and "not worth it" to those who see more value in waiting for the next year's iPhone, which will likely have major changes.
