Consumers expect the Apple iPad Air 3 to be out in a few months after recent Apple iPad Pro discounts led them to believe the launch of the next generation tablet is afoot.

The iPad Pro was launched only last month but the device has already been the subject of multiple discounted deals. Certain resellers featured the laptop in their Black Friday offers and with free shipping, as pointed out by Yibada. During Black Friday, shoppers had access to a US$25 discount for the 32 GB variant of the iPad Pro, among others.

The relatively big discounts for Apple's latest tablet fueled reports the iPad Air 3 will be released early 2016, probably by March.

One other report about the upcoming iPad Air 3 is that its features will focus on its media and entertainment functions. This means consumers could potentially have a gadget much superior to the iPad Pro. It’s going to have a 9.7-inch 4K screen with a 2,334 x 3,112 pixels resolution.

This a huge improvement from the resolution of its predecessor, which was only 1,536 x 2,048. Other notable specs include an A9X chipset; as much as 4 GB of RAM; a fingerprint sensor; improved cameras and much longer battery life.

Apple trend watchers were surprised when the Cupertino tech giant didn’t make any announcements about the iPad Air 3 last October. After all, the very first iPad Air model was out in the market in October 2013. The iPad Air 2 was launched in October 2014. This year, though, consumers were surprised when Apple unveiled a new iPad Pro instead of the next iPad Air model.

Now that the iPad Pro has turned out to be a less than remarkable device, trend watchers have turned their attention back to the much awaited iPad Air 3 tablet, according to Ecumenical News.
