Manila, Philippines - Chicago Bulls' Derrick Rose is all set to make his much awaited return in Manila this weekend and every basketball addict out there is talking about arguably the biggest event this September.

After a couple of years of long wait, D-Rose is back in Asia's basketball Mecca - Manila. Rose, who's coming off a grueling two years of knee rehabilitation, appears back in full force as proven by a series of one-on-one confrontations he had with several elite Asian ballers, including a Samurai in Japan.

A healthy D-Rose will only mean a more successful season for the Chicago Bulls, which could become one of the serious contenders to spoil LeBron James and the Miami Heat's bid for a third straight championship. Of course, it's still too premature to crunch down NBA scenarios. We are just in September, so it's just right to relish every moment of D-Rose's stay in Manila.

Rose is scheduled to arrive late Friday with full-blown activities all set on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. 20 lucky winners of the D-Rose Manila Tour promo will have a chance to mingle out with the former NBA MVP in the D-Rose Manila Original Party Saturday night.

The Bulls guard will also attend the playoff and final round of the D Rose Tour 3-on-3 tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, the site of his historic two-game exhibition series between the NBA All-Star (Derrick Rose, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, and James Harden) against the Smart Gilas Pilipinas and PBA All-Star.

Look out! D Rose may give several individual a chance to play a priceless one-on-one session with him, just like he did during his previous visit in Japan and China. On the third day of the Manila stop, Rose is set to face the winner of the NBA 2K13 tournament at SM Mall of Asia Atrium. Rose, who appears on the cover of NBA 2K13, is not only an avid but a competitive gamer. Finally, D Rose will cap his tour with a press conference so expect him to reveal his perspective about his injury and this upcoming season for the Bulls.

Of course, free sneakers - especially the brand new D Rose 3.5 - will be up for grabs at the Bulls' star jump store. If you want some kicks, go up for it.

The Manila Stop will be the last of Rose's Worldwide Return promotion before he heads back to Chicago for its final event and eventually the start of training camp. It has been incredible round-the-world journey for D-Rose, so it's just right to post some of the most memorable moments during the epic tour.
