Czech tennis ace Tomas Berdych has posed naked for the centrefold of the latest issue of Cosmopolitan magazine. The photoshoot was part of Cosmopolitan’s campaign with Cancer Research UK.

Berdych is no stranger to stripping nude. The World No. 6 has bared it all before when he posed nude for the Body Issue of the ESPN Magazine in 2014. In his latest naked photoshoot, Berdych revealed via Cosmopolitan.co.uk. that he doesn’t really “mind” stripping down all his clothes.

“I’m a person who thinks this is how my body is right now and I have nothing to hide,” Berdych said. “I don’t even have any tattoos because I’m afraid of needles.”

Berdych last played at the Gerry Weber Open in Halle, Germany where he reached the quarterfinals before losing to Ivo Karlovic 7-5 6-7(8) 6-3. He is currently playing at the 2015 Wimbledon Championships. The 29-year-old Czech survived opening round scare against unseeded Jeremy Chardy on Tuesday 6-2 6-7(8) 7-6(3) 7-6(5). It was a tough match for Berdych as the Frenchman fought back in the second after losing the first set.

The Czech, who recently got engaged to his model girlfriend Ester Satorova in January, admitted that it was a tough match, but a good test for him. Berdych was determined to avoid the casualties list in the second day of the grand slam tournament. Berdych fired 16 aces and 55 winners. He had 16 unforced errors compared to Chardy’s 30. His best Wimbledon appearance came in 2010 when he made it in the finale against Rafael Nadal.

Berdych needed three hours and 11 minutes to seal the victory and move on to the next round where he will meet wild card Nicolas Mahut, who also needed four sets to beat Filip Krajinovic 7-6 6-4 3-6 7-5 in the opener.

The upcoming second round match will mark the sixth time that Berdych and 66th-ranked Mahut will meet on professional tour, the second time in a grand slam tennis event. The last time that the pair clashed was during the second round of the Rotterdam Open in 2014. Berdych leads their head-to-head series 5-0. If Berdych progresses, he will face the winner of match between fellow compatriot Lukas Rosol and Spain’s Pablo Andujar.
