‘Celebrity Apprentice Australia’ winner Sophie Monk has Mark Bouris’ respect

Sophie Monk, 35, was declared the winner of “The Celebrity Apprentice Australia” season 4 over former “Big Brother” winner Tim Dormer, 31. With Monk’s unexpected win, the boss and host of the show Mark Bouris had nothing but good words to the singer and actress.

During “The Celebrity Apprentice Australia” Season 4 finale, which aired on Nov. 18, Wednesday, Bouris pointed out that people just dismiss Monk as “a pretty, blue eyed, blonde haired girl who can sing and act.” He added that Monk has his respect and he gives her credit for her level of brightness, which no one seems to do.

“Although it's just a TV show to the outside, it truly taught me important lessons about negotiation, business and putting yourself outside of your comfort zone,” Pop Sugar Australia quoted Monk as saying before winning “The Celebrity Apprentice Australia” Season 4. She also said the show was a great experience for her.

As “The Celebrity Apprentice Australia” Season 4 winner, Monk received $100,000 for her chosen charity, the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She was emotional when she received her prize and said the reality show had taught her more than she could learn in 10 years.

Monk said she is very proud and she has tested herself so much on “The Celebrity Apprentice Australia” season 4. She added that having been ripped off much money because she cannot stand up for herself has taught her as well.

The final task for Monk and Dormer was to create a unique and clever video and poster advertisement intended to sell Australia to foreigners. Their print and TV adverts were presented at a Finale Gala Event .

For Bouris, Monk and Dormer had evolved more than any contestants he had ever come across on “The Celebrity Apprentice Australia.” This was not the first time Monk won a reality show contest, as she was a member of the group Bardot, the first winner of the Australian reality series titled “Popstars.”
