"Driven," the premiere episode of "Castle" Season 7, picks up from where it left off in the last season, at the car crash site. The first sneak peek of the new episode has been released. It provides a glimpse of what happens in the first few moment of the premiere episode. It features the original star-cast of "Castle" -- Beckett, Esposito, Ryan, Martha and Alexis. Rick Castle is also present in this sneak peek, but in a scene from the Season 6 finale.

The sneak peek of "Driven" opens with the last few moments of Season 6. It opens with a shot of the wedding venue. Bride Beckett is seen talking to Castle. He tells her that he has their marriage license in his pocket and he will be there soon. A black SUV is seen following him. Castle sees it and the next scene is of Beckett receiving a call.

Beckett reaches the accident site, wearing her wedding gown, and sees Castle's car engulfed in flames and in the ravine. The new scene is of Beckett rushing towards the blazing car, not paying attention to what Ryan and Esposito are saying, and breaking down near it. Soon, she is drenched, as a fire-fighter is extinguishing the flames. She gets up and looks inside the burned out car.

"He is not here, he is not in the car," Beckett can be seen telling Ryan and Esposito. The synopsis of the episode says that the disappearance of Castle will "put Beckett through the toughest case of her career."

The spoiler reports have suggested that it will take some time before the question about what happened to Castle is answered. There is a significant time jump in the premiere episode, as the initial investigation does not reveal much about Castle's whereabouts. The disappearance of Castle on his wedding day is part of the new mythology that the writers plan to introduce in Season 7. This mythology revolves around Castle and new secrets about him are expected to be revealed.

"Castle" Season 7 is scheduled to premiere on Monday, Sept. 29 on ABC.
