Welterweight fighter Clarence “Son of St. Pete” Booth has been added to the Top Rank Promotions’ roster of boxers after officially inking a promotional deal with Bob Arum-led boxing outfit. The 27 year old prospect from Saint Petersburg, Florida in the United States has a record of 10 wins against one loss in 11 professional boxing bouts with six of the ten wins coming by knockouts.

"Clarence Booth has great size with power and speed," said Carl Moretti, vice president of boxing at Top Rank Promotions said in a press release in their official website. "He should be a force in the junior welterweight and welterweight divisions. His fan base in the Tampa - St. Petersburg areas will make him into a major attraction.”

Booth is listed at 5 foot 9 and campaigns in the welterweight division or the 147-pound weight division. The American has won his last eight fights and his only loss came in his third fight as a pro in 2011 when he lost a four-rounder to Cletus Seldin via unanimous decision. Ever since that defeat, Booth responded with three straight technical knockout, or TKO victories over Marcus Powell, Devarise Crayton and Darrell Jones in 2012 and 2013. Booth fought five more times in late 2013 until early 2015 scoring two more TKOs in that stretch.

Booth’s manager Pat Lynch described the boxer as “great young prospect with a very bright future” and that Booth is “an extremely hard worker with a great attitude.” Lynch also handles the likes of Glen Tapia and Julian Rodriguez. Booth is coming off a first round victory over Puerto Rican Osenohan Vazquez, who got knocked out in the early in the match for an impressive victory from the American.
