The previous episode might be considered by a lot of fans to be the most romantic episode of “The Blacklist” ever created, as viewers witnessed a Romeo and Juliet type of drama, but all that had something to do with biological weapons. Unfortunately, the show was never intended for romance and such plot amounted to a mixture of intrigues arising from Red (James Spader) trying to take down the criminal mastermind.

Spoiler alert! This article contains “The Blacklist” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens before the next episode airs.

The previous episode opened in a rather creepy manner. Fourteen long years ago, a girl from the past wakes up and will start wandering around to find out that every other person in the hospital has been disfigured with a lot of sores, foaming at the mouth and almost lifeless.

A team entirely clad in hazmat suits will arrive to storm the hospital and they look shocked to see one little girl. The scene flashes forward to the modern day when a blonde young woman kisses a man who again, foams at the mouth and gets disfigured with sores. That man happens to be Red’s accountant, Zach Smoll.

That woman is later identified as Natalie Luca and by the looks of it, nobody can really tell that this is a woman who cannot be trusted. She looks sweet and innocent but there is a deadly disease within her that she can wield against people. The episode ends with Natalie kissing Malik as he dies in her arms, not because of the disease, but for doing everything in his power to be with the woman he loves.

In this next episode, titled “Isabella Stone,” somebody is coming for Red and it looks like he is in deep trouble. The official YouTube trailer [watch below] introduces fans to the titular character of the episode, Isabella Stone, who is a character assassin. This villain makes use of fraud or deception to destroy a person’s reputation -- and she is going straight for Red. Red has a mysterious past that has been hiding for quite some time. All these could surface soon.

Other spoilers reveal that Red will be needing the help of the entire FBI to make sure that his team stays together. This could mean that many of them might end up in an uncomfortable position.

The Blacklist” airs every Thursday at 10 p.m. on NBC in the US. It also airs on Channel Seven in Australia.
