Award for Australia's greatest accomplishments in film and television will be presented at the event's ceremonies. The Awards Luncheon will be held on Tuesday 28 January 2014 and the main event on Thursday 30 January 2014 at The Star Event Centre, 80 Pyrmont Street, Pyrmont, Sydney. On December 3, 2013, the third Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) also called as the Australian Oscars has announced its nominees for awards in four categories:
