Arsenal are reportedly plotting to snatch FC Barcelona wonderkid Munir El Haddadi.

The 19-year-old Spanish international with Moroccan lineage has been followed by Arsene Wenger for years and could possibly consider making a move soon before the former's stocks hit all-time high.

While relatively young and inexperienced, the La Masia graduate made heads turn with his impressive preseason form, capping it off with a goalscoring La Liga debut against Elche, while starting both of the Catalan outfit's fixtures, thus far.

He received a surprise call-up from the Spanish national team to take part in their match against Macedonia for the UEFA Euro qualifiers, wherein he was fielded in for 13 minutes coming off the bench.

Meanwhile, Spain's assistant manager Toni Grande has nothing but praises for the youngster, whom he dubbed to be the "next Raul."

"Munir reminds me of Raul at the beginning of his career. He has similar characteristics...and look how far Raul went!" He said.

"He has some very good features in his game but still has to show much more."

"The first time I saw him live was this summer when he was playing for Barca in pre-season, although [Under-21 boss] Albert Celades had spoken very highly of him, so we knew what he was about."
