Pop sisters Kylie and Dannii Minogue performed a duet for an episode of Australia’s “The X Factor” grand finale on Tuesday. The singers, who rarely collaborate musically, have recently recorded a festive dance track “100 Degrees” for their upcoming Christmas album. The crowd went gaga over their performance as they haven’t seen the two sisters perform together for nearly 30 years.

The last time that the sister-duo performed was back in 1986. Kylie, 47 and Dannii, 44 sang the song “Sisters Doing It For Themselves” on Young Talent Time. The duo admitted that they were saving a reunion for the “special and right” time. Thankfully, the time has arrived.

The girls showed their sisterly affection as they did admirable dance moves and performed the song. The crowd’s cheer was proof enough how much they love the beautiful sisters.

Cosmopolitan reports that both Kylie and Dannii were nervous seeing Chris Isaak, James Blunt and Guy Sebastian on the panel.

"I got nervous seeing those guys' faces there," said Dannii.

The two sisters wore disco dresses that were well co-ordinated. The “I Believe in You” singer was in pink and her sister was dressed in blue. They started their performance from the top of a tall staircase.

Kylie explained that the idea of the song came after she identified a gap in the Aussie Christmas tunes market.

"I'm happy to sing about snow and winter wonderland and all that, but I wanted a song that mentioned the heat," expressed Kylie.

Kylie also pointed that her sister Dannii is the “perfect” person with whom she can perform the duet.

Kylie’s boyfriend, Joshua Sasse, has not accompanied her to Australia this time though the singer, in an earlier report, said that Sasse has never been to Australia and very keen on coming down.

19-year-old Cyrus Villanueva won the title last night. While singing his debut single “Stone,” he found it hard to hold back his tears. The Daily Telegraph reported that Villanueva thanked God for blessing him with the gift of music and he feels blessed to share it with everyone.
