Will.i.am, the American singer-song writer, rapper, actor and record producer is all set to launch his own line of smartwatch on the 15 of Oct. in San Francisco. It is also rumoured that the smartwatch has a brand new music service installed on it. It should be noted that Will.i.am showed off the wearable device on a chat show in UK in April this year.

This information regarding the arrival of the smartwatch comes from the UK press. Nothing to the affect of the technical specifications has been revealed. The new music service introduced in the smartwatch might work to its advantage making it stand out above the rest of the smart wearables in the market.

According to the Telegraph, the device will have Bluethooth with the capability to independently connect to the internet without linking to any mobile phone. Once this hits the market it will be a competition to the Apple Watch.

A Judge on the BBC talent show stated that the watch has features like the Facebook and Instagram and will run on the Android operating system. The device sports a curved screen instead of a flat one. It can store music and can be updated with an internet connection. The device can also make and receive call independently.

7Digital has seen its share price increase by 44 percent after its association with the super star singer. Will.i.am and 7Digital have made contracts with leading record companies. This will help artists and music groups to be treated equally under the contract. This could be an advantage over other music services that have experienced problems due to different rates offered by independent music producers and labels.

Will.i.am had shown off the smartwatch in April, it looked like a bracelet rather than a watch and the display was hidden under the screen. The watch was to be launched in the month of July but due to its late arrival it will put it in competition with the Moto 360, LG G Watch R and the Apple Watch.
