The two best club teams in Asia meet to determine the kings of the continent.

The two clubs, South Korea's FC Seoul and China's Guangzhou Evergrande, have never won the AFC Champions League before. For the first time since 2008, the final will be played on a two-legged basis, not as a single match.

FC Seoul lost just once, to Vegalta Sendai of Japan, on their way to the final. They avenged their loss with a 2-1 victory at home. They also swept Jiangsu Sainty of China and drew both matches with Thailand's Buriram United. In the knockout stage, they beat Beijing Guoan, Saudi Arabia's Al-Ahli and Iranian club Esteghlal in the Round of 16, the quarterfinals and the semifinals, respectively. Dejan Damjanovic has been splendid in the tournament so far, putting the ball inside the net six times, being backed up by Yun Il-Lok who scored four goals in the group stages.

Guangzhou Evergrande is led by Muriqui and Dario Conca, who have scored 13 and 8, respectively. They were beaten only once, by Urawa Red Diamonds, and drew even with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors both at home and away. Guangzhou advanced to the final after sweeping Central Coast Mariners, Lekhwiya, and Kashiwa Reysol. Coach Marcello Lippi, who led Juventus to the UEFA Champions League title in 1996 and Italy to the FIFA World Cup in 2006, has the enviable problem of distributing his team's scoring opportunities.

In the first leg, played in Seoul's World Cup Stadium on Oct 26, the teams battled to a draw. In front of a crowd of 55,501, Damjanovic sent home a sweeping ball from Yun to draw even in the 83rd minute. Despite the draw, Guangzhou Evergrande was in control for most of the time, holding a 2-1 lead going into the final minutes of the match.

The second leg will be played in Tianhe Stadium in Guangzhou. All the 45,000 home tickets have been sold out in anticipation of a classic battle between the two sides.
