Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) is one of the main characters on "The Walking Dead." He is liked for his rugged looks and great crossbow techniques. However, fans also want him to fall in love with a fellow character, namely Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) or Beth Greene (Emily Kinney).

"The Walking Dead" Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd talked to Zap2it about the upcoming season. She revealed that Daryl Dixon will not romance anytime soon.

"Daryl's interesting because there are the people who want him to hook up with Carol, there are the people who want him to hook up with Beth, there are the people who never wanted him to hook up because he's got to save himself for them," Hurd said.

"Regardless of what we do, I don't think we're ever going to make anyone happy," the executive producer revealed.

It looks like Daryl will not be hooking up with Carol or Beth.

During the Comic-Con, AMC released "The Walking Dead" Season 5 trailer and the video revealed that Beth Greene is not dead. She is in a medical facility with a female police officer. It will be interesting to see how Beth reunites with Daryl, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and others.

Hurd also revealed that Season 5 of the show will have two story arcs. The season will have "one sort of overarching arc." However, each arc will have its natural end. The first arc ends in the "The Walking Dead" Season 5 mid-season finale and things will start again in the mid-season premiere instalment.

During the interview, Hurd mentioned that if there is a zombie apocalypse and the dead roams on planet Earth, she will team up with Daryl. She wants to be on the back of Daryl's bike.

"The Walking Dead" Season 5 premieres October 12, 2014 on AMC.
