The first part of “The Voice” Season 9 Live Playoffs was kickstarted on Tuesday on NBC. This episode witnessed a tough competition between Team Gwen and Team Adam, while, the two other teams The key highlight of the Live Playoffs is that the already dumped artists get an opportunity to make a comeback in the show.

The live rounds was started with from Team Adam's singer Blaine Mitchell who performed “Never Tear Us Apart” by INXS. Blake lauded the singer by saying that it is hard to imagine that he did country songs in the past. Pharrell too was impressed by the choice of the song. Gwen praised Mitchell for his style and outfit and Adam was proud of his decision to bring Blaine in his team.

Team Gwen’s Regina Love was the next contestant to perform on stage. She sang Adele’s latest track “Hello.” Regina received a standing ovation from Gwen and most of the audience for her spectacular performance. Adam tells Regina that he is proud of her and that misses her in his team.

Keith Semple from Team Adam was the next hopeful on the stage and he performed “To Be With You” by Mr. Big. Blake was smitten by the performance and Gwen said that he has a nice tone. Shelby Brown from Adam’s troupe was next to perform in Live Playoffs. She performed “You’re No Good” by Linda Rondstadt. Blake compared her voice to that of Trisha Yearwood and says that she should be on his team.

Korin Bukowski from Team Gwen was the next contestant and she performed “Adia” by Sarah McLachlan. She was appreciated for her voice and singing style by all the four judges. The comeback artist challenge brought a refreshing change in the competition. Gwen has brought back Ellie Lawrence for this competition as she has a rich voice and connected well with her. Gwen also revealed that Ellie was one of the most downloaded artist and Ellie was visibly shocked on hearing this. She performed “Ex's & Oh’s” by Elle King. Adam was quite impressed with the performance and said that it was her best performance in the competition.

Jefferey Austin from Team Gwen was the next contestant and he performed “Say You Love Me” by Jessie Ware. Everyone present in the studio was impressed by him. Braiden Sunshine was next to perform and she sang “Everything I Own” by Bread. Viktor Kiraly was the next contender from Team Gwen and he was applauded for performing “All Around the World” by Lisa Stansfield.

Team Adam’s contenders were next to perform and he gave a chance to the most versatile singers from his squad including Amy Vachal, who performed “The Way You Look Tonight,” Chance Pena, who performed “Barton Hollow,” Jordan Smith, who performed “Halo” by Beyonce.
