On the 17th January 2019, until the 19th, TRON will be hosting the niTRON summit at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.

The summit will be a place for discussion and exchanging ideas around blockchain technology. In attendance will be blockchain projects, industry experts and thought leaders, and a wide range of guests from other industries.

TRON is a blockchain-based operating system, and their aim as stated on their website is to ‘decentralize the web’. More widely, their goal is to make blockchain technology more scalable by increasing throughput and availability. This way they hope to make decentralization more realistic and attractive to large-scale enterprise. In addition, they’ve launched an accelerator aimed at driving growth and innovation in the blockchain industry.

Kobe’s attendance at the summit is sure to garner some attention. His basketball accolades are numerous and impressive, and include being a 2-time Finals MVP, a 5-time champion, a 4-time All-Star Game MVP, a 9-time selection for the All-Defensive First Team, and the winner of 2 Olympic gold medals.

But Kobe isn’t just a basketball superstar. In 2014 he invested in a sports beverage which went on to see a 30-times return in less than five years. His fund, Bryant Stibel, has invested in 15 businesses, mainly in the tech, media, and data spaces. Projects it has funded include House Canary, a real estate data and analytics firm, and All Def Digital, a media company which uses Hip Hop to grow its audience.

At the summit, Kobe will share his life experience and insights.

TRON’s CEO and founder, Justin Sun, is excited about the special guest. He said: “Kobe Bryant is a basketball genius. I have been a huge fan of Kobe and deeply inspired by his journey. It’s my great honor to have Kobe as our special guest for the niTROn Summit. It’s worth mentioning that Kobe Bryant is not only a basketball genius, but also an investment genius. We look forward to hearing his great speeches at the summit.”
