They are certainly not teenagers anymore to reveal such thing on Facebook, but if it's the best way they know how, then give it to Tiger Woods and his new girlfriend Lindsey Vonn.

America's golden Olympic girl Lindsey Vonn revealed on her Faebook account on Monday that she is in fact dating champion golfer Tiger Woods. The ski jumper who looks very similar to Tiger's ex-wife Elin Nordegren is the first serious girlfriend of Woods since his cheating scandal and divorce.

The two publicly announced their relationship via their Facebook along with some lovey dovey photos. Ironically, after they have made their relationship public, Tiger appeals for privacy within their relationship.

"I guess it wasn't a well-kept secret but yes, I am dating Tiger Woods. Our relationship evolved from a friendship into something more over these past few months and it has made me very happy. I don't plan on addressing this further as I would like to keep that part of my life between us, my family and close friends. Thank you for understanding and your continued support! xo LV," her post read.

Tiger Woods, who is bouncing his way back to the top wishes that the public would treat them as an "ordinary couple." But his request would be something that is hard to do, given his past records of rampant womanizing.

"Lindsey and I have been friends for some time, but over the last few months we have become very close and are now dating. We thank you for your support and for respecting our privacy," Tiger said. "We want to continue our relationship, privately, as an ordinary couple and continue to compete as athletes."

Tiger's relationship with Vonn broke out just after his ex-wife Elin Nordegren was rumored to be dating mining billionaire Chris Cline. It looks like he had to lay it out to the public first before his ex-wife does. Well good luck to them and their "privacy" request, the public will most certainly be keeping an eye.
