A group of young girls were mortified to find out a hidden video had been filming them while they changed clothes after a sports class. They were even more shocked to find out the camera belonged to one of their teachers.

The horrified students reported the incident at a primary school on Buckwell Drive, Hassall Grove.

Police raided the house of the teacher and seized a digital camera earlier this month. The male teacher, 34, was arrested and charged Wednesday.

The Herald Sun did not name the teacher, but mentioned he lived in North St Marys.

The teacher, who was interviewed at Mt Druitt Police Station, was charged for possession of child abuse materials. He was also charged four counts of filming person in private act (aggravated), one count of attempting to film a person in private act without consent, and four counts of installing a device to facilitate observation or filming.

Among the items seized from him, police reportedly found four separate videos showing female students changing at school.

The male teacher has been refused bail for his crime. He will appear at Mt Druitt Local Court for trial.

Meanwhile, in Tokyo, Japan, a female teacher was arrested on suspicion of filming naked girls from her school.

Kaori Yamakawa, 25, has been accused of filming sixth-grade pupils in a hotel bath during a school trip.

The Mainichi Shimbun reported Yamakawa has admitted filming the girls, but denied any intention to sell or distribute the film.
