In her Facebook account, Britain's Got Talent 2009 runner-up Susan Boyle did not alter her status to "In a relationship," but did admit to The Sun in an interview that she has a boyfriend. The 53-year-old singing sensation met him in a hotel when she was on a US tour.

The chap is an American and about the same age as she is, Boyle disclosed, adding they had a romantic dinner and she found him to be the "perfect gentleman."

A late bloomer - from her professional singing career which started when she was 48 - Susan belonged to the group with the initial NBSB, which means "no boyfriend since birth."

She did not provide more details about the man but shared that would be back in the US in 2015 for the next leg of her US tour to promote her sixth album titled Hope, which features songs of inspiration, although he hinted of plans to visit her in Scotland.

The album appears to fit Boyle who surely is now more inspired with a love life, although on the down side she was recently diagnosed with Asperger's, characterised by mood swings and bouts of depression.

However, The Sun disclosed that her boyfriend is a doctor from Connecticut.

"He wasn't a fan but he knew who I was. He invited me out for lunch the next day, we had a nice chat and spoke lots of things including our careers," Boyle shared.
