Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and Donna (Sarah Rafferty) were shown to be close since the pilot episode. Donna was not only Harvey’s secretary but also his confidante, and who knew all his secrets. But Harvey’s “you know, I love you Donna” in the penultimate episode of “Suits” Season 4 created emotional ripples in the calm waters, however to Donna’s disappointment, he failed to tell her how he loves her. And in the season finale, Harvey lost Donna as his secretary, though he saved her from going to jail. Donna informed Harvey that she will be working for Louis’ (Rick Hoffman) as his secretary, and she walked away from Harvey’s office after saying she loves him.

The premiere episode “Denial,” which airs this Wednesday, June 24, will see Harvey unable to deal with Donna’s departure, and he will be seeking out a therapist. And it won’t be all positive for Donna too, as Louis will be making things difficult for her because he will continue to believe that Donna will return to Harvey soon.

Speaking about Harvey and Donna’s equation, Rafferty told TV Line, “They’re both disappointed in each other in different ways, and it doesn’t make for a copacetic relationship.” The actress also said that Donna has always believed that she and Harvey are not right for each other because the latter is emotionally incapable of giving her what she wants, and that is why …“she tells herself that she doesn’t love him …” She added that the “conscious thoughts and unconscious thoughts can be very different.”

Working as Louis’ secretary, Donna will find herself in a “hot spot a number of times,” Rafferty said to TV Line. And Harvey, according to the actress, will have to “deal with his emotional life head-on going into Season 5.” She added, “he’s reeling from Donna leaving him.”

As previously reported, Christina Cole will be introduced in the premiere episode of “Suits” Season 5 as Harvey’s therapist. She is playing the character called Dr Paula Agard, a Harvard educated psychiatrist who specialises in corporate consulting. Described as Harvey’s perfect match, Dr Agard is set to have a game of cat and mouse with her client.
