Known by many wrestling fans due to his tough demeanor, fantastic promos and catchy catchphrases, few wrestlers have defined the “Attitude Era” like Stone Cold Steve Austin did. The WWE Hall of famer is considered by many fans to be the biggest star WWE ever had, sans Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Hulk Hogan, so it makes perfect sense for Stone Cold to join the ranks of superstars in the mobile brawler “WWE Immortals.”

The reveal was made on the “WWE Immortals” Facebook page, where Austin’s character design was revealed. It appears that the designers took his moniker as “The Texas Rattlesnake” to heart, as his immortals version will have snakes wrapped around his arms that appear to shoot either lightning or blue fire from their mouths.

There have also been a numerous amount of supposed leaks about the revelation of Stone Cold being in “WWE Immortals.” A thread from Game Faqs has a number of leaked imagery of Steve Austin appearing in the game, one image of him in particular looks to be his “evolved” version, as this time the designers took the term “Stone Cold” literally, giving him an Iceman like skin tone and a giant sharp icicle on his back.

It’s currently unknown how or when Stone Cold will be purchasable in “WWE Immortals.” Given the fact that “Evolved” versions of Daniel Bryan and WWE Champion Brock Lesnar were available through challenge modes, it would make sense if he will be a grand prize in a challenge mode as well. Like most of the characters in the game, sans The Rock, it seems that Steve Austin will come in two variations: Texas Rattlesnake and Stone Cold, though only time will tell which version is the better one.

An update for “WWE Immortals” was released awhile back and brought two versions of “The Viper” Randy Orton to the mix, along with the “evolved” iteration of Daniel Bryan. There are still a couple of noticeable omissions in the game, such as Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt and AJ Lee. One can hope that these characters and more will appear in a future update of the mobile game, though nothing has been confirmed at this point.
