Gamers who’ve been on the fence about picking up “WWE 2K15” now have one more reason to spring for this year's entry in the long-running series. A new promotion by 2K see’s the game’s $25 Showcase Season Pass available for free from select retailers in the U.S. and Canada.

Details of the promo are hosted on the official WWE2K website and indicate that U.S. users can purchase the game from Amazon, Best Buy and Gamestop. Gamers north of the border in Canada have the option to choose between Amazon Canada and EB Games. Unfortunately, the Showcase Season Pass DLC package is only available on PS4 and Xbox One, and gamers who already own the game can't take advantage of the offer.

Polygon notes that both Amazon and Gamestop currently have “WWE 2K15” on sale for $39.99, knocking a further 33 percent off the game’s price for even bigger savings. Amazon U.S. and Gamestop will be running the offer between March 15 to March 21 and Best Buy from March 18 to March 22. EB Games will make the DLC freely available between March 21 to March 28, and Amazon Canada from March 22 to March 28. The Showcase Season Pass includes:

Despite the move to more powerful hardware on the PS4 and Xbox One, the latest release in the long-running franchise has not been particularly well-received by fans or critics. Gamespot rated the game 5/10 in its review. Highlights included the game’s replication of match-day production and accurate replication of the company’s wrestlers. However, the review chastised the development team for its decision to ship with so few wrestlers and strip down the creation features present in past entries of the game.
