World Wrestling Entertainment, or WWE, 12-time World Heavyweight Champion John Cena is cherishing his new quirky roles for his upcoming movies in Hollywood. The 37-year-old top baby face of the wrestling outfit has just filmed two juicy parts for unconventional comedies which he hopes will help viewers see him in a different light other than the stern-faced action hero he has portrayed in the past.

Cena has collaborated with his mother company, WWE Studios, to produce hardcore action films, notably “12 Rounds”, “Legendary” and “The Marine.” He also guest stars in the reality show, “Total Divas,” with his current flame and WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella. His feature films did not make that much of an impact in the box office leading the leader of Cenation to contemplate the direction of his acting career and re-assess his direction. Cena hopes that his new ventures in comedies will help put him re-invent his image and jumpstart an additional career.

The Tampa, Florida resident has two films lined up for the year 2015. The first one is a juicy role in a Judd Apatow movie entitled, “Trainwreck,” which is scheduled for release in July while the second film is a counter-programming comedy, “Sisters,” starring Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, which will hope to bring in the leftover crowds from the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” as both films with debut on the same week in December. Cena shared his thoughts on the projects and showed his enthusiasm with the roles.

“I’m trying to get my fix of the adult, non-PG racy stuff with the movie parts that I choose. I had to take a break from movies for a while to redefine where I wanted to go, but now I get my aspirational fill from being a part of the WWE family, and I can pick and choose these small, really fun movie roles where I still get to be an adult,” Cena recently told Brian Truitt of USA Today Sports on his transition to comedic parts.

True to his word, the teaser trailer of “Trainwreck” shows a glimpse of Cena bringing in the laughs in a short scene. In the upcoming movie, Cena plays one of the “weekly” boyfriends of the lead character Amy Schumer and in the short clip, responds to a dude who calls him Mark Wahlberg in a cinema. Cena’s character comes back from the name calling with the line, “Mark Wahlberg? Markl wahlberg’s like 150 pounds. I look like Mark Wahlberg ate Mark Wahlberg,” an obvious self-referential critique on his physique. Watch the full trailer below.
