Floyd Mayweather Sr. has confronted retired Mexican boxing champion after the latter said that Manny Pacquiao will beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. The elder Mayweather apparently doesn't agree with Morales that Pacquiao can defeat his son in the highly anticipated May 2 showdown at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Morales was in attendance at the red carpet press conference of the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight on March 11 in Los Angeles when Seconds Out caught up with him and asked him what his thoughts were about the bout deemed as the “Fight of the Century.” Morales was a little apprehensive at first to give an interview but eventually gave in to the request of reporter Radio Rahim.

According to Morales, Pacquiao will win over Floyd Jr. because the Filipino is faster and has strong legs. He added that he doesn’t think that the undefeated American fighter “can win a fight face-to-face.”

When asked about the skills he has that Floyd Jr. doesn't have (to beat Pacquiao), the Mexican fighter only had one thing to say. Morales said that he has a strong fighting style and agreed when the reporter said that he has more "heart and machismo" than the Grand Rapids native boxer.

The elder Mayweather, however, was quick to contest Morales’ statements. When Floyd Sr. found out about Morales’ comments, he called him out and confronted him. The elder Mayweather didn’t even let Morales talk and defend himself.

“I heard somebody said that this man (Morales) said that Manny Pacquiao had a chance, well, let me tell you right now, Im’ma tell you right now, Floyd’s going to beat the hell out of Manny and I’m telling you and you’re going to see for yourself,” the elder Mayweather told Morales upfront as seen in the video uploaded by Fight Hype. “It’s going to be no contest, believe me.”

The Mayweather-Pacquiao fight has been the most anticipated and the most talked-about match-up in the history of boxing. Every boxing fan, including current and former boxing champions, has their own bet on who will emerge victorious off the superfight. Floyd Jr, who is the favourite, may have not fought someone that has Pacquiao’s style, but so does the Filipino. Come May 2 at the MGM Grand Arena, the boxing world will finally see if Pacquiao will become the first fighter to give Floyd Jr. a loss or if he will suffer the same fate of other fighters, who were all unable to put a halt at the brash American's unbeaten run.
