While “Sons of Anarchy” fans are dying to see popular Hollywood celebrity Brad Pitt as Jax Teller’s father, John Teller, here is another update. “Sons of Anarchy” actor Tommy Flanagan has joined the cast of Marvel’s “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2.”

Chris Sullivan, Elizabeth Debicki and Kurt Russell were also added to the cast, along with “Oldboy” actress Pom Klementieff. James Gunn is returning as director. It will be a fully star-studded affair with big names such as Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Dave Bautista and Zoe Saldana reprising their roles. Other actors returning to the franchise include Sean Gunn, Karen Gillan, Glenn Close and Michael Rooker, sources confirmed Variety.

According to Heroic Hollywood, Flanagan is all set to play a Ravager who will cause conflict within the group of Ravagers due to a bounty out on Rocket Raccoon. Principal photography has already begun at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta. Kevin Feige is producing the movie, which is set to hit the big screen on May 5, 2017.

Flanagan is known by “Sons of Anarchy” fans as Chibs from the hit FX show. He was a loyal member of the motorcycle gang.

However, the most loved character in “Sons of Anarchy,” Jax Teller, played by Charlie Hunnam, is not sure to make a return. Hunnam is not so sure about reprising his role of Jax Teller, although Pitt is reportedly starring in the new cast playing Teller’s father. Hunnam expressed his sadness over the death of his character in the end on the show and that the show got cancelled.

If “Sons of Anarchy” fans thought it’s all over once the show ended after seven seasons, they thought wrong. Nothing’s over for the franchise and the much-anticipated prequel is already underway.

That’s not all. Talks are also being held for a possible spinoff about the Mayans as well. The cast will be back together for a reunion in Houston, Texas, scheduled to be held from May 27-29, 2016 for the prequel and the spinoff.

The “Sons of Anarchy” spinoff won’t be about the “First 9” as initially thought. The upcoming spinoff will be about the Mayans.
