Multi-award winning singer Jennifer Lopez is seen in the official trailer of her new crime drama television series “Shade of Blue.” NBC network has scheduled its premiere on Jan. 7, 2016.

Lopez, who landed the main role, took to Facebook on Sunday to promote her newest project. “So proud of ‘Shades of Blue.’ Can’t wait for you all to see it. Check out the trailer now! ‘Who we think we are and who we turn out to be... are they ever the same?’ ‪#‎FirstLook‬ ‪#‎ShadesOfBlue‬,” she wrote.

In the trailer, Lopez appears to shoot her partner in work and struggles to balance her life as a mother and a cop. Throughout the clip, the actress faces the conflict between love, loyalty, honor and betrayal. The clip ends with the words: “Between good cop and bad cop… there are shades of blue.”

Lopez has been roped in to play the role of Harlee Santos, a New York FBI agent and a single mom who is assigned to an anti-corruption task force. According to the NBC, Santos has been assigned to work with a group of dirty cops, who secretly accepts bribes and money for protection.

Cast of the show includes Ray Liotta, Dayo Okeniyi, Warren Kole, Vincent Laresca, Drea de Matteo and Sarah Jeffery.

“Shades of Blue” is an all-new NBC drama series co-created and co-executive produced by Adi Hasak and Jack Orman. Famous host Ryan Seacrest will also co-executive produce the series along with Nina Wass, Barry Levinson, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina and Jennifer Lopez. The series is produced by Universal Television, Nuyorican Productions, EGTV and Ryan Seacrest Productions. Barry Levinson directs the series.

The initial release of “Shades of Blue” was scheduled on January 17 but NBC moved up its premiere date on January 7, Variety reported. NBC confirmed on Monday that the series will air regularly at 10 p.m., after “Heroes Reborn” and “The Blacklist.”
