The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has been officially announced. It has been launched to replace the Galaxy Note 4 from 2014. The handset has been launched alongside the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus

The Galaxy Note 5 comes with 5.7-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD display, Exynos 7420 chipset, and 4 GB of RAM. It is available in two internal storage versions of 32 GB and 64 GB. There is no expandable storage on the device.

It features a 16 MP rear facing camera that is coupled with Optical Image Stabilization. The selfie camera is of 5 MP. It comes with a fingerprint scanner on its Home Button. The Note 5 is shipped preloaded with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It comes with an improved stylus that has a metallic appeal.

Samsung has also introduced its Samsung Pay mobile payment service on Note 5. It comes in several color options like black, gold, silver and white. The non-removable battery of the Note 5 is 3,000 mAh.

According to Phone Arena, Verizon is selling 32 GB model with off-contract price of $696 (AUD 944). Buyers can also opt to pay $29 (AUD 39) each month for two years. The 64 GB Note 5 is priced at $792 (AUD 1094) off-contract, or monthly payment of $33 for two years.

AT&T will start receiving preorders from 3 PM on its official website and retail stores. It will be selling black and white color variants of Note 5.

T-Mobile will be offering the Note 5 through its JUMP! On Demand plan through Sept. 30. It will be selling the 32 GB variant with zero down payments along with monthly installments of $25 (AUD 34) for 18 months.

Sprint will start receiving pre-orders for Note 5 from Aug. 14 for various plans like Sprint Lease, Easy Pay, 24 months agreement plan or off-contract. From Aug. 21, the Note 5 will be available at Sprint stores.
