Sony Screen Gems’ “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” will see Alice (Milla Jovovich) and Claire’s (Ali Larter) reunion. This was revealed through a new promo clip for the upcoming film, along with a glimpse of new and retuning characters.

Several fans are indeed looking forward to see the reunion of the two characters. Alice and Claire are both strong women that will do whatever they have to do to survive. At the end of the day, they got each other covered.

“Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” will introduce new cast members. One of them is Aussie actress Ruby Rose, who will play a character named Abigail. Other newcomers include Eoin Macken (The Night Shift) as Doc, Cuban American actor William Levy as Christian, Fraser James (“Law & Order: UK”) as Michael, and Japanese model and TV personality Rola as Cobalt.

Other beloved characters from the franchise that are set to return include Dr. Isaacs (Iain Glen). Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts) will be back too.

Director Paul W.S. Anderson recently teased fans about what to expect from the final chapter in the “Resident Evil” series. He said “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” will be much more similar to the first film than the sequels.

“There’s some really good, dark stuff going on in this movie, darker than the others,” Anderson told Collider.

The film synopsis revealed that Alice (Milla Jovovich) will survive humanity's last battle against hordes of the undead. Now, she needs to return to where the nightmare has started, and that was specifically in The Hive in Raccoon City.

The Hive happens to be the same place where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse. Apparently, the upcoming film picks up immediately after the events in ‘Resident Evil: Retribution."

“Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” is slated to hit Australian theatres on Jan. 26. The film’s release in the US follows on Jan. 27.
