The premiere episode of “Quantico” Season 1 set the pace of the series - mainly that you can’t judge a book by its cover. Huge secrets kept by FBI trainees were uncovered, even causing one to commit suicide on the spot, as they were asked to continue discovering things about each other with the objective of identifying a sleeper agent who plans to launch a terrorist attack on the United States.

Episode 2 of “Quantico,” titled “America,” continues with the theme of trust, or the lack of it. Alex (Priyanka Chopra) is on the run and must use her wits to get away from Liam O’Connor (Josh Hopkins), a special agent and staff counselor at Quantico, and his team. While she has to look for evidence that will clear her name, the other NATS trainees at Quantico are assigned to search for possible threats to the U.S. national security.

Caleb (Graham Rogers) returns as an analyst and he, too, is shrouded in secrecy. Lacking the charisma he had shown in the previous episode, the second episode at one point also hints that his real name might not actually be Caleb.

Liam, Miranda (Aunjanue Ellis) and many other members of the FBI are obviously hiding a lot of things and may be part of a whole scheme, TV Fanatic writes. Liam and Miranda were particularly interesting, and the teachers, providing more tips and help, lost some of the meanness they had in Episode 1

In Alex’s world, she goes home to gather clothes and supplies for her big escape, as well as read her own apartment to determine who has been observing her. She discovers that someone had gone through her walls that separated her building, and finds a room with a lot of explosives. However, she is chased up the roof by Nathalie Vazquez (Anabelle Acosta), her co-trainee at Quantico. In the end, Alex was able to handcuff Nathalie and run off.

Meanwhile, Ryan (Jake McLaughlin) comes out of a successful surgery after suffering from three gunshot wounds at Alex’s apartment. He dialed an unknown caller and was directed to Alex’s burner phone. Alex informed Ryan that she was being framed, and Ryan, wanting to help Alex, said he would have to pretend that he believes that she is guilty.

Episode 2 ended with Liam showing Alex’s photo to the media, warning everyone that she is a national security threat.

The next episode, titled “Cover,” will air on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 10 pm on ABC.
