Chelsea legend Denis Wise's son has secured a one-year deal to train at the Arsenal youth academy. The 15-year-old was so far training with the Queens Park Rangers academy and was wanted by a lot of youth projects. He joins all three sons of David Beckham Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz as well as Frank Lampard's nephew at the Arsenal training centre.

Arsenal Football club have the best training facilities in all of England. The England national football team used to prepare for matches and tournaments using their facilities before moving into their brand new exclusive St George's Park National Football Centre. Even though they are best in England they are still way short of the world class youth academies of clubs like Barcelona.

Last September Arsenal appointed a new youth development chief in Andries Jonker. He has previously worked with Louis van Gaal at Barcelona and Bayern Munich. The 52 year old Dutch has worked with young players like Xavi to make them a world class finished product. The outspoken Jonker who had replaced Liam Bardy at the club had been critical about the present situation of the Arsenal youth academy as well as the scouting system.

"Arsenal want more talented players to come through, because that has been lacking", Jonker had said after his appointment. Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis had briefed Jonker that Arsenal had the ambition to have the best academy in the world. He understands and appreciates that to achieve that the club needs to spend a lot of money and give Jonker sufficient time to make an influence.

Jonker also believes that Arsenal's present scouting system are to be done away with and needs to start afresh. This is imperative as the best youth academy will need the best talents from around the world to make it their home in their formative years. Among the current lot Jack Wilshire is a successful graduate of the Arsenal youth academy.
