Following the now-famous trend of gold plated smartphones, the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are now being offered with 24K gold plating. Notably, a revered Chinese company named NavJack is sourcing these variants. In case readers missed out, Microsoft also offered gold variants of the Lumia 930 and the Lumia 830 in Europe, Asia and Africa, quite recently.

The gold-plating on the Apple iPhone 6 models wraps around the two iPhones seamlessly and the golden hue is even seen inside the Touch ID embedded on the home button. The rear panel reportedly looks like a gold plated carbon fiber material. Furthermore, the handsets' front-facing panel is covered with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer for added protection. Adding a cherry on top, this limited-edition, special gold plated variants of the iPhone 6 will reportedly come in a special box. However, there is no information available on the pricing details of these models at this point. Nonetheless, the price is expected to be very high, notes Phone Arena.

On the other hand, NavJack also has other variants in offer. The luxury-edition models of Apple iPhone called NavJack Aphrodite iPhone 6 and NavJack Aphrodite iPhone 6 Plus are in the works. Going by the video, the aforesaid handsets come studded with precious stones and gems, complete with a unique design at the back panel. Speaking of price, the NavJack Aphrodite iPhone 6 with 64 GB storage capacity will set the buyers back by 118,000 NT in Taiwan, which roughly translates to $3687. Meanwhile, the NavJack Aphrodite iPhone 6 Plus with the same 64 GB storage capacity is priced at 138,000 NT that roughly translates to $4313, says Mascoat.
