“Neighbours” recap

On Tuesday, Xanthe fixed the dress after it was stained by the drink from the formal. She made it look as if brand new. Later, she decided to upload the photo of her and Ben kissing on her Instagram. When she went to the store to return the dress, the store clerk won’t let her. It seemed that the store saw Xanthe’s Instagram post and spotted the stain in the dress. Ben encouraged her to confess to Gary and promised to come with her. When Xanthe came clean to Gary about the dress, he was absolutely livid. Ben butted in the conversation and out of rage, Gary let it slip that he paid Ben to take Xanthe to the school dance. Ben tried to explain his side, but Xanthe was devastated and broke up with him. Worse, Xanthe learned that Piper knew the deal all along, and she “dumped” her best friend as well.

At Harold’s, Elly spotted Tyler and the two chatted for a bit. They were taking a selfie when Piper walked in. Elly approached her and tried to be friendly, but Piper rebuffed her efforts. At school, Piper found out that it’s not just Tyler who seems to like Elly – the new students are warming up to her. Xanthe vowed she’s on Piper’s side, but it seemed she’s also being reeled in Elly’s friendly vibe. Later, Piper continued to simmer with anger when she learned that Elly would supervise the detention. Piper didn’t mince words and asked Elly straightaway if she slept with Tyler. Elly hinted that she and Tyler talked about Piper and how she acted like a spoiled brat. Elly also said that Tyler wanted to be with an adult, not a young girl. Hurt by this, she walked past Tyler when she spotted him across the street.

Meanwhile, Steph invited Belinda over for a friendly lunch, but Belinda totally misinterpreted it. Over lunch, the two talked about Paul, then Mark. Belinda latched on the part where Steph said she and Mark had their own share of problems. Steph and Belinda also had a blast reminiscing about funny incidents in the past, and when they were clearing the dishes, Belinda caught Steph off-guard and kissed her. Charlie walked in and saw the whole thing – he couldn’t believe what he just witnessed.
