“Neighbours” recap

On Tuesday, Jimmy suffered from terrible pain on the side of the road after being hit by a car. Charlie rushed to find Amy, who ran to where her son was, along with Jack. Thankfully, Karl also arrived in the scene to check on Jimmy while they waited for the ambulance. The young boy was taken to the hospital. Despite Karl’s assurance that Jimmy would be okay, Amy was beside herself, extremely worried.

Meanwhile, Mark and Steph were having an argument about Belinda and her gift to Charlie. Mark said Belinda had an ulterior motive, which Steph did not believe. Paul then arrived, interrupting him. Steph received a call about Jimmy’s accident, and they all rushed to the hospital. Suddenly, a scream was heard – it was Amy, who said there’s something wrong with Jimmy.

After examining Jimmy, Karl said his spleen might be ruptured, which is why he’s experiencing terrible pain. Jimmy had to undergo surgery. Despite Karl’s reassurance that it’s not life-threatening, Amy was still concerned. She asked Jack to pray for her son. Jack said yes, despite receiving a message from Paige, who’s waiting for him at Off Air. Jack and Amy started the prayers.

Jimmy underwent the operation and the doctors took his spleen out. Later, he woke up and he seemed to be in a much stable condition. Seeing that their prayers worked, Jack seemed like he was leaning towards going back to his faith again.

Still at the hospital, Mark and Steph were asking Charlie about the car that hit Jimmy. Charlie remembered it was a red car and had yellow and black license plate, but he didn’t see the driver. Mark surmised that it’s Belinda’s car based on the plate. Steph was incredulous – she couldn’t believe Mark was trying to pin Belinda down for the accident. Steph accused Mark was jealous and was doing everything to put Belinda in bad light, while he accused of protecting her ex-girlfriend.

Later, while confiding to Sonya, Mark got a call and found out that Belinda’s car didn’t have any damage and she didn’t have black and yellow plate. It seemed Mark had another wrong theory. Meanwhile, Paul revealed to Steph that he was the one paying for her legal fees. He built up Belinda to Steph, trying to make her see that Mark’s not right for her. Steph was anything but grateful, and told Paul to stay out of her relationship.

At the Rebecchi’s, Mark made up with Steph. She shared what Paul said, and Mark was absolutely livid. Steph said she won’t see Belinda again and won’t allow her to stay at the motel. Mark said there’s no need to do that – he trusts Steph.

At Off Air, Paige was surprised when Dustin, Jack’s mate suddenly showed up. They met for a brief time when Paige was helping Jack regain his memory. He informs her he’s in town to offer help for the outreach program. While they’re fixing the place up, Paige grilled Dustin about Jack’s ex-girlfriend. Dustin realised Paige has feelings for Jack. Dustin gave Paige a painful reality check: she has no chance with Jack, ever.

Paige was extremely annoyed and disappointed that Jack did not show up at Off Air to help out. Afterwards, he had a couple of beers with Dustin and they ended up kissing. Jack walked in and couldn’t believe what he saw. He stalked off, brimming with anger.
