“Neighbours” recap

On Tuesday, Ben and Xanthe caught Piper and Tyler kissing passionately while the couple was inside a car. Xanthe immediately confronted Piper about what she saw. Xanthe then found out that Piper’s parents have no idea about the relationship. Piper said she’ll tell them soon enough, but in the meantime, she’ll enjoy every second with Tyler. Elsewhere, Ben went over to Tyler’s to talk to him about the kiss. Ben advised Tyler to come clean to Terese, saying that secrets are nothing but trouble.

Paul was experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder, having flashbacks of his sufferings while in prison. Meanwhile, Madison was still livid with what her uncle did to her article and didn’t want to go home to his hotel. Terese offered to take her in, to Madison’s surprise. Madison bid goodbye to her uncle and told him that she’s going to live at Terese’s house. Madison is amazed that Paul is not at least bit apologetic about what he did.

Piper warmly welcomed Madison at their house. Shortly after, Piper and Terese had another argument about Tyler. Terese was adamant and stuck to her guns: Piper is not allowed to date Tyler. However, a defiant Piper went against her mother’s orders and met again with Tyler that evening. With Ben’s advice ringing in his head, Tyler was hesitant to pursue a relationship with Piper without Terese’s approval. Piper told him that they’d come out as a couple during the school’s formal.

Later, Amy talked to Gary about Paul. Gary made Amy realise that it’s not easy to transition from prison life to the real world. He advised her that what Paul needs is time and understanding. Amy then went to the hotel to have a serious talk with Paul. He insisted that he did it because of his hellish experience in jail, caused by inconsiderate people who put him there despite his innocence.

At the Rebecchi’s, there’s still an ongoing tension between Sonya and Toadie. When Sonya talked to Steph about her issues with Toadie, Steph shared what she and Mark does whenever they have communication problems: get physical. Steph then volunteered to take care of Nell so Sonya could have an evening alone with Toadie and reconnect. While hesitant at first, Sonya agreed. Later, Sonya made her move towards Toadie. However, Toadie rejected her advances and decided to bury himself in work.

When Steph returned Nell home, she let it slip that she knows about Sonya’s fun night out with Toadie. He was infuriated about the fact that his wife is blabbing about their private life with Steph, who shared it with Mark. An argument ensues among the three, leaving all of them exasperated about each other.
