Goophone S5 by Goophone, a device that looks like a replica of Galaxy S5 was unveiled at MWC 2014, barely two days after Samsung debut its flagship phone at the same mobile event. When one plans to but cannot buy the Galaxy S5 for some reasons, Goophone S5 provides hope as a great alternative.

Goophone seems like a covers band, creating knockoff devices in incredibly fastest ways. It is worth mentioning that the Chinese firm also has Goophone i5S, which looks like Apple's iPhone 5S.

Goophone 5S

Goophone 5S comes with yes, a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 screen that is pretty close. It is packed with a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek chip, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage that is expandable through microSD, 2800mAh battery, dual-SIM slots, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and 13MP and 5MP rear and front cameras respectively. It costs $300 and available in black, white, blue and gold. Its appearance, color and design make it an ideal companion for your other branded items like a Lucci bag, Seanheiser headphones and Tammy Hilfinger shirt.

With specs that are almost similar to the original one, paying its price which is about 50 per cent off the Galaxy S5, means big savings. Unfortunately though, it is not clear how interested buyers could get Goophone 5S, since the site marks it as "out of stock".

Similarities and Differences

Design-wise, Goophone 5S looks really similar to the Galaxy S5 - with all the colors available (black, white, blue and gold); as well as the plastic back part which resembles a band aid. Looking closer, the display is actually a bit smaller than the real one. It has Adroid 4.2 Jelly Bean on board, instead of the most recent 4.4 KitKat. It offers 3G support while the Galaxy has 4G. Furthermore, the Galaxy's camera is 16 megapixels and comes with 0.3 seconds autofocus speed.

While Goophone is a delight to some consumers with its alternative devices, Samsung may not be happy as it appears these clones can dramatically knock off its sales. But then, Goophone knows pretty well how to keep close with its following. The bottom line is: it offers hope to those who cannot afford to buy the high-end Galaxy S5.
