The MSI Camo Squad limited edition laptop is a welcome addition to the growing gaming market. The notebook has a unique and different look, but it stays true to the core. It’s packed with features and software that should make gameplay smooth and uncompromised.

Most gaming laptops sport space-themed looks. This is to accentuate the purpose of such products and enhance gameplay immersion. MSI, though, has taken a different approach with its latest notebook.

The Taiwan-based gaming enthusiast dropped the generic space scheme and went with a military motif on its all-new portable machine. The limited edition laptop sports a camouflage skin and is armed with the latest 7th gen Intel Core i7 processor and GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or 1060 graphics options. Its 15.6-inch display can support up to 3,840 x 2,160 of Ultra HD resolution and is available in an optional IPS panel.

Helping the Camo Squad notebook maintain military-grade gameplay levels is the exclusive Cooler Boost 4 thermal solution. The X Boost function, on the other hand, boosts storage access speed. Making adjustments quick and easy is the multifunctional Dragon Centre, which handles everything from audio setup to system overclocking.

Speaking of audio, that department is enriched with Nahimic 2 sound technology and Audio Boost 2 enhancement for 360-degree in-ear immersions. True Colour provides the laptop’s visual clarity while the SteelSeries Engine 3 software lets users personalise battle styles. What’s more, the notebook can handle up to two external 4K monitors, providing more gaming and creative possibilities.

The MSI Camo Squad limited edition gaming laptop is now available to order. The GE62VR model starts at US$1,599 in North America and AU$2,399 in Australia. A game bundle that includes “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands” with season pass and a handful of accessories (military-themed backpack, sport water bottle, dog tag and mouse pad) is also available.
