“Mr Robot” season 3 is surely happening as USA Network has announced the show’s renewal. No official release date has been set for the show yet, but the network has confirmed that the series will be returning this year.

Chris McCumber, president of Entertainment Networks, said the company is proud of “Mr Robot” as the series pushes boundaries and captures cultural zeitgeist. McCumber has expressed his excitement about what else the show has in store for fans. “We can’t wait to see where Sam Esmail and the entire brilliant robot team take us next,” he said.

When “Mr Robot” returns to the small screens for season 3, it is expected that Krista (Gloria Reuben) will also make a comeback. Fans would remember her as the court-appointed therapist of Elliot (Rami Malek).

While Elliot is battling his inner demons, Krista would always encourage him to open up instead of resorting to keep his feelings to himself. Throughout their sessions, she would confront him about his delusions. For several “Mr Robot” viewers, it will be nice to see Krista in season 3 helping the character further.

In the previous instalment, Elliot had poor judgement of Krista’s character and refused to share his problems with her. He chose not to take his medicines and would rather take regular doses of morphine to kill the pain of isolation. It will be interesting to see how far Krista will go to help Elliot.

Reuben is also known for her portrayal of Jeanie Boulet on the medical drama “ER” and Marina Peralta on “Falling Skies.” For the big screens, she has portrayed Elizabeth Keckley in “Lincoln.”

The latest season of “Mr Robot” has won in the Golden Globes Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards and got nominations for the 2017 Golden Globes Awards. It grabbed the Best Television Series and Best Performance by an Actor for Christian Slater at the Golden Globes. Rami Malek was recognised as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Mac Quayle has grabbed Outstanding Music Composition for a Series at the Primetime Emmys.

“Mr Robot” centres on the story of Elliot, a young programmer and cybersecurity engineer who was recruited by an underground hacker group and is battling with mental issues. “Mr Robot” season 2 aired in Showcase in Australia. Talk is rampant that the third season will air in the US. Official air date for the third season is expected to be announced in the near future.
