Miss World 2014 organisation has announced the top 10 contestants of the People's Choice Poll. The contestants who have got the highest number of votes are Miss Australia, Miss Barbados, Miss Haiti, Miss India, Miss Nepal, Miss Netherlands, Miss Philippines, Miss South Africa, Miss Tanzania and Miss Thailand.

Miss Tanzania, Happiness Watimanywa, has made it to the list for the first time. Here are the details about the top 3 contestants of the People's Choice Poll:

1. Miss Australia, Courtney Thorpe, is a freelance writer and a fashion stylist. She is currently pursuing Mass Communication degree. The 24-year-old has written a string of children books and also holds experience as a fashion editior for an international publication. Thorpe likes to indulge in a variety of outdoor activities, including horse riding, camping, wake boarding and boating. She is also a member of the Brisbane soccer club, according to Miss World.

2. Miss Barbados, Zoé Elizabeth Trotman, is a sales rep and a make-up artist. She wants to become a professional singer. In her free time she makes her own make-up and skincare products. She is looking forward to represent her country on the global platform.

3. Miss Haiti, Carolyn Desert, is a 25-year-old restaurateur. She wants to expand her hotel chain so that she can create more jobs for the women. "Poverty is such an issue, but I believe that it is because we have strayed from natural ways and relying on mother nature to feed and shelter us," she said when asked what she dislikes most about the world, as quoted by Miss World. Desert is a passionate social worker and believes that Haiti is a land of beautiful people.

The Miss World 2014 final will take place on Dec 14 and will be broadcast live at 2:30 p.m. (GMT). Reigning Miss World, Megan Young, and Tim Vincent will host it. The winner will be crowned at the end of the ceremony.

The voting for People's Choice began on Nov. 20. The voting will close at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec 14. The voting can be done via Miss World app.
