Meghan Markle will be pulling out of some of her official engagements on Fraser Island on Monday. The pregnant Duchess of Sussex will be leaving her husband, Prince Harry, to attend their scheduled meetings alone.

The Sussexes will arrive in Hervey Bay on Monday before heading to the World Heritage-listed site in Queensland. The couple were due to meet with Indigenous elders, but they decided to cut back Meghan’s schedule for the next couple of days.

“After a busy program, the Duke and Duchess have decided to cut back The Duchess’s schedule slightly for the next couple of days, ahead of the final week-and-a-half of the tour,” the statement says.

Kensington Palace did not give a reason for the decision, but as the Duchess is expecting, it’s apparent why she needed to take some time off their busy schedule.

She also did not attend the first event at the Invictus Games in Sunday on Sunday. However, she joined Harry later at the official reception and the Invictus sailing final. Harry also stepped out solo on Tuesday.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be visiting Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand next.
