Mariah Carey has assembled a new management team in her bid for a great career comeback. After her publicist Cindi Berger parted ways with her, Mariah is said to have hired the services of Chamber Group’s Chris Chambers. Along with a new publicist, the “Emotions” singer now has new TV managers as well.

Page Six exclusively reports that Carey established a new team to make sure her career comeback will not go bust. After her longtime PR left her earlier last week, the singer made a snap decision to assemble a new management team composed of a new publicist and TV producers/managers. This was necessary because apart from severing ties with publicist Berger, she also severed ties with her former manager Jermaine Dupri. Her new TV producers are Stella Bulochnikov and Brian Sher.

An insider told Page Six that Carey is making sure everything around her is “new” as she enters a new phase of her career, from her label, the management, publicist, residency and even relationships. Just recently, the singer cut off ties with Universal Music Group and went back to LA Reid and Sony’s Epic Records and reunited with previous executives who worked with her on her 2005’s “Emancipation of Mimi.”

The insider added that a new management team is doing Carey good even as she gears up for a big comeback with her Las Vegas residency. The source said the singer is much more focused on her rehearsals, which started last week. The source added that the “We Belong Together” singer already did a lot of soul searching, which has made her happier. Aside from making a music comeback, the singer is also reportedly starting to shoot for a Christmas movie with her friend, Brett Ratner.

While both parties are mum on the details of their separation, there seems to be a puzzle as to who really wanted Carey and Berger to part ways. According to Carey’s publicist for the last 15 years, she decided to leave Carey because she thinks it’s best that they “move on” from each other.

However, on a personal level, the publicist said she still cares deeply for the singer. She also said she has nothing but respect for Mariah and would love for her to be successful in all her future endeavours. While it seems that it was Berger's decision to end their working relationship, TMZ reportedly got evidence that Carey was the one who canned the publicist first so that there would be a "fresh approach" to her career.
