The Lumia update is the latest major software update for Lumia smartphones and Microsoft has confirmed that it will be rolling it out soon. In some regions of the world, the Lumia update comes preloaded on Lumia 730, Lumia 735 and Lumia 830. A tweet released through Microsoft Lumia’s official twitter account reveals that currently the Lumia Denim is going through testing phase and after receiving approvals from operator, the update will be rolled out to the audience.

Ubergizmo states that once the update is made available, it will be up to the carriers to quickly approve and release it because the sooner they do it, the faster users will be able to install it on their devices. As of now, there is no confirmation on the timeframe as to when the NokiaPowerUser, the Lumia Denim update will bring plenty of new features to the Lumia devices. With the new update, users will be able to say ‘Hey Cortana’ to wake up the voice assistant without touching the handset. The Moment Capture feature will allow users to snap still images of 8.3 MP from ultra HD videos at 24 fps. There are plenty of camera enhancements such as camera speed improvements, faster startup and shooting capabilities, dynamic flash, auto HDR and more.

The Lumia Denim update will also bring other features like Bing Weather, health data and alerts on the Glance screen. It will also include Windows Phone 8.1 GDR Update 2 that will add new features like text message forwarding, Live folders and more. The Lumia Denim update was speculated to be available in November says WMPowerUser and now that the official tweet has arrived, it surely indicates that the major upgrade is around the corner.
