Kylie Minogue's mile high moment with the late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence is set to appear on the latter's latest TV series titled Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold Story of INXS.

The famous mile high club incident in the '90s was never confirmed by the princess of pop but there were rumours at the time that Australian PM Bob Hawke was said to be in the front row seat of the Quantas flight and saw the action. He has since denied the gossip.

A source from Kylie's new management reveals, "Kylie's people have been making enquiries about the script and her depiction.

"They have no legal standing or ability to demand any changes, but they are insisting it is handled respectfully."

Kylie had a high-profile relationship with the late frontman after her break-up with "Neighbours" co-star Jason Donovan in 1989.

The latest INXS biopic is a two part drama series which will focus on the band's journey and rise in the international music scene and the challenges of dealing with the loss of Hutchence.

"It promises an authentic, behind the scenes look at what really happened - childhood mates from Sydney who were once the biggest rock and roll band in the world - beyond the music, the lights and the roar of a sell-out crowd," according to the network's blurb for the series.

X Factor 2012 winner Samanta Jade will make her acting debut in the TV film series as Kylie Minogue.

Kerrie Mainwaring, producer of the series, told Digital Spy, "We knew we couldn't look past Samantha Jade when we were casting Kylie.

"You just need to look at her face and figure to see she's a perfect match - and that she comes from a singing background was just an added bonus in our minds."

Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold Story of INXS will be directed by Daina Reid.
